Position Overview 

International Development Group is actively seeking 2-3 administrative professionals who will provide support for projects from implementation through closeout.  This individual will manage a varied portfolio ensuring that projects achieve quality programming and development outcomes. S/he will facilitate home and field office activities for assigned contracts and ensure effective and efficient coordination between the relevant offices. This includes the application of current U.S. and host country regulations and laws as well as IDG policies and procedures to contract implementation. 

The Project Coordinator will also participate in new business initiatives within International Development Group LLC and coordinate with the client's technical and contract officers on the assigned programs. S/he will serve as a mentor on proposal teams in specific line roles including, past performance reviews, corporate capabilities, resume formatting, expatriate and local recruitment, coordinator, section writer, cost volume, and manages communications and agreements with potential and selected subcontractors.  This position reports to the Senior Project Specialist or Project Manager to provide home office financial, contractual, management and technical assistance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one to three years of international development project work experience; engagement with USAID funded projects is preferable.
  • Working knowledge of economics and monitoring and evaluation preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office especially Word and Excel; Strong Excel and quantitative skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrative attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude required to assist business and systems growth.
  • Experience living or working in developing countries a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluency in French, Spanish, Russian, or Arabic desirable but not required.
